Walking Basketball is for participants across all ages, genders and abilities and helps to maintain and improve health and decrease risk factors associated with sedentary behaviour.

Whether you played years ago and want to get back into it, have never touched a ball or want to give something less strenuous a go, Walking Basketball could be the sport for you.

Walking basketball is just that, basketball without running and jumping. Perfect exercise for those looking for a fun activity, that doesn’t put pressure on joints. Ideal for older players, those looking for a step to get back into more strenuous fitness or those coming back from injury. Low-impact, fun basketball for all ages.

Walking Basketball involves 45 minutes of light exercise and 45 minutes of socialising. Held at the Hills Basketball Stadium in Castle Hill, the 5 week program each term is suitable for those wanting a little fun and light exercise. No prerequisites, you don't need to have played Basketball previously.

WALKING BASKETBALL (5 sessions available)

Dates: Tuesday 29 Oct, 5 Nov, 12 Nov, 19 Nov, 26 Nov

Time: 10-11.30am 45min basketball/45min morning tea.

Venue: Hills Basketball Stadium, Fred Caterson Reserve, Caterson Drive, Castle Hill.

Cost: $10 per session. Paid at venue. (includes morning tea)

Wear: Comfortable clothes and runners.

We hope you'll be able to join us for 5 weeks but you can join in anytime on any day. Pay $10 on the day and we'll provide 1.5hrs of entertainment and morning tea.
