Qualifications
• Current or working towards obtaining Association Coaching (Level 2) accreditation. Hills Basketball Association will pay 50% of course fee, should you need to undertake.
• Current Working with Children’s Check certification
• Current or Past Coach of a Hills Hornets Representative team
• Member of the Hills Hornets Representative Program as a player or coach for a minimum of three (3) years.
• Knowledge of Hills Basketball Association Coaching Curriculum.
• Knowledge of Hills Basketball Association Rules and Regulations, including 2021 Hills Hornets Representative Handbook

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Attend Hills Basketball Association Curriculum Coach meetings. Dates TBA.
2. Act as Independent Selectors at Representative Trials. Dates TBA
3. Communicate with Representative Department to prepare reports, set targets, methods and strategies to assist coaches within the curriculum age group.
4. Help ensure that the Hills Hornets Representative program links to the BNSW and BA programs.
5. Provide a monthly report providing feedback on coaching staff, players, potential issues, and strategies to assist coaches within group.
6. Assist in continuing the development and improvement of the Hills Hornets Curriculum.
7. Assist in continuing to develop the Hills Hornets style of play and playing philosophy.
8. Attend Representative Coaching Welcome Meeting and quarterly Coaching Seminars.
9. Report any issues regarding child protection or incident/accident to Representative Manager.
10. Ensure that the curriculum is being (both terminology and style of play) adopted by each team as set out in the Hornets Coaching Curriculum.
11. Identify talented and enthusiastic players, coaches and ensure they are provided opportunities to accelerate their development.
12. Ensure Assistant Coaches are provided opportunities within training sessions and games (if appropriate) to develop. Provide coaches with possible techniques to assist.
13. Attend each age group team training session (within curriculum age group) at least once per month.
14. Attend each team’s home game (within curriculum age group) at least once per month.
15. Submit annual reports for each team within curriculum age group. Outlining the strengths, weaknesses, issues and suggestions for improvement for both coach, assistant coach(es) and players.
16. Assist in the development of coaching pathways.
17. Provide rankings and feedback for 2022 Hills Hornets Representative coaching appointments.
18. Assist with development of programs for HITP, Prep4Reps & Rep Rookies for curriculum age group. Ensure programs provide results for both the non-representative player & the current representative player.
19. Provide feedback to the Representative Manager on additional opportunities within elite program.
